Family News...

So I figured I would update you about everything that is going on and why I haven't posted in a while. Manolis' dad had surgery on Monday, it was nothing really serious and he has needed it for a while and finally his mom told him he needed to have it done before the new baby arrives so they can help with Sofia. So for the longest time I thought he had a problem with his colon because that is what Manolis thought the translation was, so last night I decided to look up the word myself in the Greek dictionary (I don't know why I waited so long since his father has had this condition since about April) and it was actually his spleen. Well they removed it on Monday and everything went well...he is actually supposed to come home tomorrow, so we are crossing our fingers.

A funny side note to this story, yesterday Sofia finally said the word Papou (which is grandfather in Greek). We have been trying to get her to say it for so long but she just couldn't get the last part, she was just saying pa pa pa. Well yesterday she was playing with her toys and there is a photo album in her toy box (which I forgot was there) and I hear her saying papou papou and I didn't know why she was saying it and I was actually surprised that she would just come out and say that word since she couldn't say it before...well I looked around the corner of the couch and there was a picture of Papou and Sofia was pointing to it and saying papou papou. It really was the cutest thing. Now that is all she has been saying since yesterday...she even calls Manolis babou instead of baba!!!!
